OLAPLEX Nº. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment is a liquid pre-treatment for damaged hair. You apply it before you shampoo, to prepare your hair in advance. It suits all hair types, especially hair that's chemically treated or damaged by heat or styling.

The active ingredient is Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, the molecule behind OLAPLEX's Bond Building Technology. It repairs broken bonds between molecules in the hair fiber. Heat, coloring and bleaching often break these bonds. According to OLAPLEX, repairing them results in less hair breakage and more shine.

Who is OLAPLEX Nº. 0 suitable for?

OLAPLEX Nº. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment is made for hair that's visibly suffered damage. Think of colored, bleached or chemically treated hair, or hair that's styled with heat often. How do you use OLAPLEX Nº. 0?

Apply OLAPLEX Nº. 0 to dry hair, from mid-lengths to ends, and avoid the scalp. Divide your hair into sections and saturate each section thoroughly with the product. Leave it in for 10 minutes without rinsing. Then apply Nº. 3 Hair Perfector, comb it through your hair and leave that in for at least another 10 minutes. Wash and condition your hair as usual afterward. Use this two-step system once a week, or two to three times a week for severely damaged hair.

What's the difference between Nº. 0 and the other OLAPLEX numbers?

OLAPLEX Nº. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment is the pre-treatment you use first, before you shampoo. Nº. 3 Hair Perfector is the next step: you apply that after Nº. 0 and leave it in as well, before shampooing. Nº. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask works at a different point in your routine. You apply that mask to clean, damp hair, and leave it in for 10 minutes. So you use Nº. 0 and Nº. 3 on dry hair before shampooing, and Nº. 8 on clean, damp hair.

Water (Aqua/Eau). Water is the solvent in which the other ingredients are dissolved.

Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. The molecule behind OLAPLEX's Bond Building Technology. It repairs broken bonds in the hair fiber, which according to OLAPLEX results in less hair breakage and more shine.

Phenoxyethanol. A preservative used in many cosmetic products. It keeps the formula stable as long as the bottle stays closed.

Sodium Benzoate. Also a preservative. It prevents bacterial growth in the formula.
