The ORMEDIC - Balancing Facial Cleanser fills the first step of your routine. It's a gentle gel formula based on plant extracts from Image Skincare's ORMEDIC line.

Who is the ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser for?

The ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser suits all five skin types: normal, dry, combination, oily and sensitive. That makes it a good starting point if you're still working out what your skin needs. This cleanser particularly suits dehydrated skin, skin prone to blackheads, or skin that flushes red quickly after washing. The mild, soap-free formula cleanses without leaving skin feeling tight, something that happens more quickly with a foaming cleanser.

How do you use the ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser?

Mix a small amount of the cleanser with a little water in your hands, so the product starts to emulsify. Apply it to your face and massage it in for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove the cleanser with a sponge and lukewarm water, or with a warm compress cloth. Use this product in the morning and evening.

If you're using the rest of the ORMEDIC line, a serum follows the cleanser. Add the ORMEDIC - Balancing Eye Lift Gel too, if you use it. In the evening, finish the routine with the ORMEDIC - Balancing Bio-Peptide Crème. If you also want to exfoliate within the line, the ORMEDIC - Balancing Gel Polisher replaces the cleanser at that point. You use this exfoliator from the line in the evening, up to three times a week.

Active ingredients

The formula of the ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser contains two active ingredients, complemented by dozens of plant extracts. Some of these are certified organic, marked with an asterisk after the name in the full ingredient list below.

Panthenol is the precursor to vitamin B5. It leaves a silky-smooth feeling right after washing.

Calendula Extract is a plant extract from the marigold flower. It has a calming effect, so skin flushes red less quickly after cleansing.

What is the difference between the ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser and the mini version?

Both contain Panthenol and Calendula Extract. The mini version also contains Hyaluronic Acid; that ingredient isn't in the formula of the regular bottle. The other difference is the volume: the regular bottle contains 177 ml, the mini ORMEDIC - Balancing Facial Cleanser 7.4 ml. That size lets you try the cleanser before buying the full bottle.

Does the ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser contain sulphates?

No. The cleansing action comes from Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate and Decyl Glucoside, two milder cleansing ingredients without sulphates. That's part of why the cleanser doesn't dry out the skin.

Does the ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser remove make-up too?

Yes. The cleanser is designed to remove make-up as well as dirt and impurities from the skin.

Does the ORMEDIC Balancing Facial Cleanser contain scrub particles?

No. The cleanser is a gel without scrub particles or other mechanical exfoliation; you won't feel any grains or texture in the product while cleansing.
