The order in which you want to apply your skincare routine

Do you have the right skincare products for your skin type ? Great! Then you can get the next steps in mind. Here it is:

Step 1: cleanser

The most important and eternally first step to starting your skincare routine, both morning and night, is cleansing. Cleansing your skin with a gentle cleanser removes makeup, dirt, and excess oil. A good cleanser also contains skin-restoring ingredients that help combat blemishes. Only when your face is properly cleansed can the subsequent products you apply do their job effectively. Cleansing your skin is therefore a step you shouldn't skip a day.

When? Morning & Evening

Step 2: Toner

After cleansing, it's time for a toner: a product that soothes, restores, and smooths and softens your skin. After cleansing, your skin needs ingredients that repair its surface. A good toner restores the skin's surface and makes your skin look younger, fresher, and smoother. If you use a toner that's right for your skin type, the restorative effect is sometimes noticeable and visible almost immediately. A toner is also called a tonic or lotion.

When? Evening

Step 3: exfoliant or peeling

After your toner, it might be time for an exfoliant or peel. Regular exfoliation gives your skin a fresh and even appearance, and that's what we all want. Certain exfoliants can also provide extra hydration, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, or help with blemishes. Exfoliation works its magic because it helps your skin naturally shed dead skin cells. If you choose a peel or exfoliant that's right for your skin type, use it as step 3, after cleansing and toning.

When? Evening - Note: Active ingredients build up. Read product information.

Step 4: serum

Now that your skin is incredibly clear, it's time for step 4: applying a serum. Serums contain a high concentration of active ingredients, and because the formula consists of smaller molecules, the product is absorbed more deeply into the skin. A serum is therefore ideal for addressing a specific skin concern, such as wrinkles or dry skin. If you're adding multiple serums to your skincare routine, you can apply them in order of texture. Start with the most fluid product and build up to the thickest texture.

When? Morning & evening: This varies per serum.

Step 5: Eye Cream

After using your serum(s), it's time for a nourishing eye cream. The skin around your eyes is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of your face and is often the first place where aging becomes visible. Therefore, good skincare around the eyes is essential! As step 5 of your skincare routine, gently apply the eye cream morning and evening (with your ring finger, which is the softest) .

Step 6: Moisturizer

Depending on your morning or evening routine, step 6 is applying a day or night cream. Your skin glows best when it's well-hydrated, so this is a super important step in your routine. A moisturizer is a moisturizing treatment for the skin. A cream suited to your skin type restores your moisture balance and ensures your skin can function properly. So apply it every day! Your skin will thank you.

When? Evening

Step 7: Day Cream SPF

Another incredibly important step in your routine: using a product with SPF! Applying a good sunscreen every morning protects your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, which our skin is exposed to 365 days a year. SPF remains on the surface of the skin as sun protection, so you should apply your sunscreen last. Do this every morning. Therefore, choose a day cream with SPF (Sun Protection Factor).

When? Morning - More often when the sun is shining and you're outside.
