What are normal breakouts?

Breakouts on the skin can be caused by a negative reaction to a product. This might be because the product isn't suitable for your skin type or you can't tolerate the ingredients well.

These types of breakouts often involve pimples, blackheads, and blemishes. Redness, itching, and irritation are also common symptoms of an adverse reaction. This reaction often affects the entire face.

Characteristics of normal breakouts

  • Duration: Normal breakouts will continue as long as you use the product.
  • Location: Anywhere on the face
  • Breakout Type: A bad reaction can manifest as pimples and blemishes, but is often accompanied by redness, itching and burning.

How do I tell the difference between purging and breakouts?

It's important to identify your symptoms. If you experience purging, you can continue using the product. After six weeks, your skin will improve significantly and become increasingly smooth.

If you're experiencing normal breakouts and therefore a bad reaction, it's wise to stop using the product. Your skin will then slowly recover and return to its normal state.

This is how you see the difference:

  • If the symptoms occur in areas where you normally get pimples and the products have an exfoliating effect, you are probably suffering from purging.
  • If the symptoms are visible all over your face and are accompanied by itching, redness and burning, you may be dealing with normal breakouts (a bad reaction).
